Endsleigh charges fees to cover the costs involved in setting up, servicing, and cancelling personal insurance policies. The insurer may also charge an additional premium if any changes are made to the policy. There is no fee for payment by credit or debit card. Here are some of the fees that might be encountered:
- Intermediary Service Fee: This fee is included in the premium and covers the cost of arranging the policy. It is applied when taking out a New Business and Renewal policy.
- Mid-term adjustment fee: This fee covers the cost of servicing the policy when changes need to be made during the policy, e.g., a change of address.
- Administration fee within 14-day cooling-off period: This fee is charged if the policy is cancelled within 14 days of the policy start date.
- Cancellation fee after cooling off: This fee is charged if the policy is cancelled after the first 14 days from the policy start date.
- Termination fee: This fee may be charged if the policy is cancelled by sending seven days’ notice in writing to the last known address. This will only happen if the information provided is incorrect and cover can no longer be offered. Any premium due will be refunded in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy.
- Contact Centre Setup Fee: This fee covers the cost of setting up the policy and is applied to Home and Landlord policies that are transacted over the telephone (offline) and at renewal. The charge is applied to each individual policy.
